That shifter will fit, however you will have to remove the plastic thing that goes around the stock shifter (the little piece that moves back and forth). Just put the shifter down in there, place the console piece over it and square the shifter in that area, remove the plastic piece, mark where you holes need to be, and bolt that bad boy down.

I've got a hurst quarterstick with pistolgrip ( like the one that skipperbisket has) in my A4 console, it required very little cutting. I don't have a great pic of it, but do a search of the threads I started, there's a link in one of them that has the final interior pic's of my car back together with the rollbar in place, you might get an idea what it can look like there.

I had to alter the mounting on mine today a little, see, when you mock things up, make sure to attach the shift cable before so you know you're clear. I just had to turn it a little moved the front to the right about 3/4". Looks good still and works fine now.

a pro ratchet will fit like a glove if you remove the PRND321 decal, and cut away the plastic slider that fits around the factory shifter stick.
my buddy has this in his car and it looks sweet.
he kept the aluminum cover on it, so when you look down in the slots, it still looks pretty finished.
