How do you get the front of the bar loose. I have all the bolts out grommet everything but can't move the front part of the bar down to pull through.

The wisdom of GM dictated that they glue them in as well as bolt them in. Ya know if the bolts fail we still have the glue. Ya gotta break the glue seal as well.

Do you have any tips? I already tried a hairdryer and hitting the bar but i'm afraid i might put a dent in the door.

All you have to do is grind socket down till it it have maybe 1/4 inch or less of depth in the socket to grab the bolts still, then put it on your 1/4 inch ratchet. Wear gloves and something to cover your arms, because you will have to put some force on the ratchet, and when it lets go and your arms aren't covered, it does hurt (know from experiance).

Dam, You guys are serious about those time sheets.... I have not experienced that fever yet. I have had and still have the H.P fever. so i can relate....Some Nice Cars.. I would not want to meet most of you at a light.. Great Work.
