I would just drop the clutch at about 2500 when I had the 10 bolt and nittos. I think the 75w140 gear lube and .010 backlash helped the 10 bolt live

6500-7000 rpm launch depending on track conditions now. Back when I had a 10 bolt and less motor I would launch around 5500-6000 rpm and hope for the best!!!!!!!! Sometimes the rear would last 20+ passes and other times it would break on the first one. All of this was done on sticky tires.

I do that but with a 12 bolt. rev her up to 6k and let that LS6 clutch burn up and pull me to a 1.58 60' and now with a new clutch, i wonder what will happen.

I got a 1.86 60' with my M6, 100% untouched suspension, and michelin 275/40 street tires. I launched at 5K and did not dump. I rode out the clutch for pretty much as long as possible without letting it heat up and stuff. This was with a 10 bolt.
