Default 26 vs 28 inch tire?

What are the advantages/disadvantages of running a 26" compared to a 28" drag radial on a 3.73 geared 12-bolt rear in a 400-450rwhp car?

i personaly dont see how a 28 fits under the car because my 26s barely clear.the bigger tire will normally hook a lil better and net you more top speed

pros: better traction or easier more consistent launches
cons: need gearing to compensate and possibly some work to get the tire to fit.

At that level not much of an advantage IMHO.

I am bumping up to 28s for 27s to get a little better hook and some more top end RPM>

LT1s are PCM Hard limited to 7,200. I have a 7,200 MSD chip in it to keep from hitting it but I have been clipping it just before the traps at 136ish

I guess that would depend upon how your car is set up and how high it sits. Mine has 27"s on it now and clears everything by a least an 1" so I got some Hoosier 275-60x15 Drag radials which are 28" for this season to keep my rpm down and to help with consistancy.

Will a 27" tall tire fit with rolled fenders and the car on LG G2 lowering springs?
