Default 3 Suspension Questions!!!!

I've done a search...and came up short. I want to put a pair of NON-adjustable 90/10's up front, and 50/50's in back. I CAN'T FIND ANY!! All I can find is adjustable. Any help???

Also, I need drag springs up front. What # should I use? The car is mainly a track car, with the occassional Sunday drive, so I don't care how it handles on te road.

Lastly, What is the front sway bar's purpose? Will it help if I remove it? Will I still be able to take the Sunday drives in the car without it?

From what I understand, adjustables are good to race with, and then be able to adjust them back so you can do your every-day driving with them. I don't want to spend all the extra money to be able to adjust them back to road conditions...the car will be set up for the 1/4 mile.

Which means you NEED adjustables. The track isn't prepped the same all thru the year, or thru the day for that matter. As the track changes, you need to be able to change with it.

Okay, for your other two questions.

Removing the front swaybar helps weight transfer. Weight transfer is of course, the transfer of weight to the front end of the car, to the rear, helping to put more weight on the rear tires, planting them harder.

Before anyone can tell you what spring you need, we need to know how light your front end is. Personally, I run a 250 pound spring in the front, but my car is also very very light in the front end.

I think the non adjustables would work fine for bracket racing but if you are looking for faster ET over consistancy you need the adjustables.
The adjustables could have an andvantage in bracket racing also as to give you more adjustment but most of the time you want them set to the softest setting for consistancy and the only reason to make them stiffer would be if you were having too much transfer to the rear

make them stiffer till it stops picking up ET for faster ETs and that will vary with track conditions.

swaybar removal again helps with weight transfer because the bar holds the front down not letting it lift as much. And also the weight too.

competion engerneering has some rear shocks that are three way adjustable and are not very high on cost at all. They probley make some for the front too but I don't know for sure.

There is pretty much no weight reduction done to the front of the car. The sway bar will be coming off as soon as I get home, and the AIR system is gone, but thats it. I also have an aluminum intake instead of the plastic LS6, so that probably offsets the sway bar removal. So you think like a 300lb spring up front? What are the stock springs?
