.

I used the exhaust paint many years ago. You had to bake it 1st. Bought a used elect oven and followed directions. The manifolds are still looking good. Used regular stuff on my slow cars front suspension, frame, brackets ect ect. Looks high gloss to this day ~10 years. If you leave in sunlight, it will do as JP said. So street cars, shouldn't use on any exposed areas. My cars are all track only, enclosed trailer and the paint has never hazed, it's excellent stuff, except the hazing in sunlight.

If I remember right, the original stuff will kill you if inhaled, so check before spraying, please.

They have a UV safe Clear coat version of the POR 15 as well. Which is suppose to be used over the original stuff.

I dont think it goes bad as long as its in air tight container. When i did my long arms for my truck the quart i was using was probably a year old but it was in a air tight mayonneise jar. As for marine clean I have no idea. Ive never used those products.

I got mine. It says not to get paint in the rim unless you never want to get the top off again. It says to dip out what you need and be careful not to get it on the rim. It says something about putting plastic wrap on the top when you close it so that it will seal.

I got a quart of black and a pint of silver. I wish I had a bunch of small cans instead. It would be easier to do less at a time. Now I am going to have to do it all at once because I don't want to have to keep resealing the can.

I use 2 pieces of wax paper between the lid, works great. Keep closed every second counts. It says dip out what you need and close it asap, believe them. I thought I was going to be quick and did a few small brackets right from the can. I ruined the whole can. It does not like air. I bought a few cheap plastic scoops, don't try to pour, it never worked for me. The stuff does go pretty far, just follow their specs, you don't need a few thick coat to last. I also found sand blasting gives the best results.

I have used the cleaner, it did a great job on preping the item.

Guys I just got finished with a whole chassis I'm doing. It's a 67 Chevy step side pick up. We had it sand blasted first. Then I ordered two Qts. We only ended up using 1 Qt. We brushed the whole thing. I wish I would have sprayed it. But the brushing worked well. I used the por 15 with nothing over it. As it is the chassis.
I'm still picking it off my arm hairs. I had gloves on but short sleeve T shirt. And I was under it on a creeper. It was tough. But worth it.

I'll post pics tomorrow. It looks great. I have a feeling the rest of it will be trashed, we opened both cans and was bushing it right out of the can. I sprayed the wheels today out of my gun. And I could tell it was starting to gel from having it open. I also bought the reducer for it, to be able to spray it.

I will be buying more of it soon for the bottom of the cab and the floor.

What are you guys using to apply the stuff? I'm using paint brushes that I got from POR15.com but I get alot of the bristles in the paint. Tried the foam and don't like how it goes on.

I just did a bunch of my front suspension last weekend. This is two coats of the regular por 15. I have some of the gloss top coat, but I haven't decided if I'll use it yet because the suspension wont see much light anyways. Please excuse the masking tape I've left on it, just havent had time to take it off yet.
