Default Wheels or shocks?

Which would be a better performance mod to increase traction:
Weld Pro-Stars
or
QA1's all the way around?

Well the wheels themselves won't help traction. You might want to list what tire you want to use. And while your at it, list what tire you already have.

I tend to think that tires might be better for you at this point, but that all depends on what you already have, and what you think you want (like et streets, dr, etc).

I guess what I mean is should I go with lighter wheels, or with QA1s?
I don't know what tire I want to use. I'm just using Nitto NT555R now, because I was driving the car a lot. Now my DD is fixed, and I can go to some QTPs or ETs. Probably QTPs. Basically I want a cheater slick. I wanna hook.

My current mods:
G5X3, Livernois ported 243 heads, LS6 intake, ported TB, Pacesetter LTs, cutout, 100 wet shot (may go up to 150 at some point), subframe connectors, body mount torque arm, boxed LCAs. Gathering my parts for my 4L80e swap. Will use a Yank PY3600 stall, 3.73 gear on stock rear with stud kit and TA girdle. Yes, stock rear. I wanna ride it out and use it as long as I can due to the minimal drivetrain loss.

I want wheels anyway, since I'm on stock SS 10-spoke wheels. I want better LOOKING wheels, and figured I'd go better performing as well. I guess it's not the best way to increase ET, huh?

Probably QA1's will help you more than lighter wheels. If you run skinnies up front, thats usually good for at least 1/10th or more off your 1/4 mile et.
But QA1's can be good for 3/10 or more..

Here's a link to one of our great sponsors. Give Thunder a call. They'll hook you up.

I see. I'll be ordering from a sponsor for sure. I think I've narrowed down my suspension choices to this. What do you think?

Rear:
- Competition Engineering shocks (cheap but many have great results)

Front:
- Strange single adjustable shock
- Strange front springs

Or are the QA1 front springs just as good? They're slightly cheaper. If they're just as good and all fit the same, I might as well use the QA1 springs.

Just looking for input. I want to get it all lined out before calling to bug a sponsor, since I probably won't be ordering for another week or so. I hate to take up their valuable time when we have this killer board to get answers from.

Thanks in advance.

All I know is I got QA1's all around and I don't regret spending the money one bit. Its well worth it. Strange are good shocks also.

Dont mean to hijack here but how are qa1,s gonna make you et better if youre not having any problems hooking. Im pulling a 1.45-1.48 60ft on a stock suspension and 10 bolt(with a prayer)

I would do the wheels and tires and a set of comp engineering shocks in the back, I run the comp shocks and they work great set on 50/50.

They're lighter (and they look better)

This may be your sign right here. I guarantee you he is not hooking with Nittos, Nitrous, and a 4000 stall.
