Another New Best!!!!!!

Weather was pretty decent:
60 degrees
30.01 Baro
33% Humidity
Track elevation 600 feet
Wind 5 mph
DA: 772 feet
I filled the car up just before getting to the track so I ran with a full tank again. I threw on the slicks opened the cutout and went to make a pass. I spun hard off the line but the car ran 11.31@123.8mph on a 1.65 sixty foot!!! Almost 124mph at 3514 pounds raceweight!
I noticed strange sounds from the right rear axle. I went to the pits and low and behold I snapped off a half inch stud. I had to take off the caliper, remove the rotor and fish out the back half of the stud. Luckily being a crazy newfy I screwed in the other half of the stud as far in as I could get it and went out and tried again LOL!
The next pass I spun hard again and went almost identical with an 11.32 @ 123.7X with a 1.66 sixty. I was really happy with the mph and the wheel stayed on for the pass. 1/8th mph for the first two runs was 97.XX.
I decided to drop the tire pressure (was running 13.5 cold in the tires and dropped them down to 12.5 cold.
Went up did a HUGE burnout and staged. Brought the revs to 5000rpm this time and dumped the clutch. Spun off the line but not as bad as the last two passes. I hit all my shifts REALLY cleanly and was excited to get the slip...
Here are the results!
sixty: 1.569
330: 4.660
1/8th: 7.206
mph: 96.84
1000: 9.389
1/4: 11.217
mph: 123.73
With a sixty foot .07 slower than two weekends ago I went .08 faster in the 1/4!!!
I decided to hotlap the car and try again
Did another huge burnout. Brought the revs to 5000rpms again and dumped the clutch. Spun about the same as last time but hit the 1-2 shift REALLY well and the other shifts were decent as well.
Went and got the slip:
sixty: 1.572
330: 4.654
1/8th: 7.200
mph: 96.90
1000: 9.382
1/4: 11.215
mph: 123.95
Another new best!! I REALLY think I have a high 11.0 BOTTOM 11.1 @ 124+ mph in the car with perfect weather and track conditions. I have gotten my shifting sharp again and just need to get the car to hook to another 1.50 sixty like at St. Thomas 2 weeks ago and I'll have it.
Thanks again for the great motor ARE!!
11.21 ET's @ ~124mph through MAC headers full exhaust, stock MAF and single 3 inch cutout haha!!
Might have to try 5/8th studs in the rear. I think I'll give the 1/2 inch studs another shot. Maybe I just had a bad one

Cheers,
Chris
I find I am more consistent getting the car to hook with a full tank in the car.
I know it costs me a tenth but I am going to hold off running with less gas till the track is PERFECT, otherwise I'll just spin

I ran 11psi cold in my tires two weeks ago and even though I hooked decent I was all over the track. (I did run at a different track last time out though)
I am going to play a bit more with pinion angle and my RR airbag and see if I can get it straighter with less tire pressure...
thanks again guys,
Chris

yep I am running the 26x8.5x15 ET drag screwed and mounted on 15x7.5 Convo Pros.
I had them at 12.0-12.5psi today cold and they were nice and stable. I was running at a different track today so the comparision isnt apples to apples.
Also my driving was alot smoother today so that helped keep the car straighter...
Cheers,
Chris
It definitely was a great day there yesterday, congrats again!
Patman, The problem with the 26x10 inch slick is my rim width. I am only running a 7.5 inch rim so the tire would crown and actually give me less contact patch. If I upgrade in slick size I would go with the 28x9x15 ET drag (27.3 overall height) and a 4.33 gear. I am happy with these 26 inch slicks so far though...
Thanks again!
