Default What is your WOT TCC lockup set at?

I had it at 90mph, but it felt like acceleration slowed down once it engaged.
The new chip has it removed completely, I have not been to the track with it yet.
Apparently it was 70mph stock.

It seems to contradict what I'd heard before where people wanted it to lock
up as low as possible (even as soon as the bottom of 2nd)

What are your experiences?

(It's hard to try different things with a 93 since it requires a reburn and
physical chip swap; I don't want to ask the tuner to burn me too many
chips and upset him)

FWIW, I'm running a 3800lbs H/C car with a 4000stall and trapping 12.2 @ 110mph.

No one? I can't be the only person dealing with this issue.

Maybe I'm confused here. My converter locks up at 42 mph.
Yours is set at 90 mph? so, essentially your converter never locks up around city driving?

WOT lockup is different than part throttle lockup.

42mph is standard for part throttle.
70mph is standard for WOT.

My most recent chip disables WOT lockup (to see if it helped ETs any)

and moved part throttle to 62mph (because my Yank grabs to hard it makes
the car shake below 60mph; apparently, it's a common issue with this particular converter)

So yeah, I drive around town with no lockup.

Actually I have been playing with mine as well, I have been trying to find the best place for it to lock. When I changed my gearing, I scaled it with that too and it dropped to somwhere in the 80's, but it was locking shortly after shifting into 3rd and dropping my RPM's below my power band, so I have been slowly uping it and I think it is set at either 94 or 96 right now waiting for the next outing to the track for testing...

I was just wondering about this myself. My 3000 RPM Art Carr stall locks up at 90 MPH in third gear at WOT. My car is a 94 Z28 with 3.42 gears and Hotcam. Last time at the track I ran a 13.4@108. When my converter locks up, it seems to pull fairly hard, but I was wondering if leaving unlocked would make up any time because it does pull the RPMs down a bit.
