Only thing cut is the bumps stops a little on the bumper cover and a little on the body in front of the tire. With stock Z28 springs.

Thats no lie. I am having a hell of a time getting my 275 50 15s to fit with my shortened 2.5 inches on each side 12 bolt.
Getting 275 60 15s to fit will be a miracle. I am going to have to break down and buy some spacers.

Seems that you may have the wrong wheel offset for your setup. There is no reason for you to need spacers other than not having the right rim or the offset making it harder to clear the brake calipers.Seems that being shortened 2.5 inches that a 5 inch back spacing should work with a 10 inch rim.The 275 50 15 is a easy tire to get on our cars.

I just fit my car with welds 7.5 backspace. I took about a third of (outer)the bumpstop off. I ground the center out of the horizontal and vertical ribing and beat them flat. I then welded most of it back together. It gave me alot more room. My 28x10.5 et drags are ALOT wider on the sidewall than my 315x17 drag radials

No rubbing while pushing and I have had it up on a lift and it is fine.

I am running a 5.5 BS so yeah the .5 is giving me fits.
I almost have it licked, just a few spots need touched up.
I may have to run a spacer with the 28 inch tire though.

Do you have a picture of your parachute mount?

Your wheel pics look great, I'm guessing you did some rear bumper cutting, maybe an inch or so to fit the tire?

I've been able to stuff a 28W and a 325 DR on my car, works out to a 28x11.5 slick. I think I could fit 29.5's without doing too much work. My rule of thumb is to have 2 centimeters of clearance all the way around... I've never cut up a tire.

I've got a 28" W under mine now, but I never thought I could fit a 315 DR in there w/o some major surgery. Nice work.
