Default my dad vs me.....

both my dad and i want to build a car this winter. i want to do a 408 set up with a nice turbo. my dad on the other hand wants to do a 572 all motor. we want this to be mostly a track car but on some nights be able to take it out to shows or something. the 408 would be way more friendly for that i think but he wants more cubes. we want the car to dip into single digits. what would you guys pick and and why and what would the price ranges be roughly?

oh and by the way this is going in a 99 mustang (my dad wants to do something differnt b/c i wanted to do it in a TA but pops is putting out the money so he wins)

A 408 w/ turbo would be sweet
But I would go with the 572!! And then spray the **** out of it.

Single digits? And take on the street from time to time?

turbo IMO... you can de-tune it for street.

Besides.. at 7psi that little small block would be moving more air than that big block.

GoodLuck on the single digits. It is a hard number to get.

just my 2 cents

Personally, I would just save the $$$ and get your 572 (only 720hp though) for 13,727.17 from gmpartsdirect!

427 Solid Roller LSX block with L92 heads and a single plane intake with an efi setup. Save a TON more money and have one badass motor which is totally street friendly if you make good decisions on the cam events.
