Can a 325/50/15 tire fit on 9'' rim
i was looking at the 15x9 centerline convo pro's with a 6.5'' bs and wanted to know how a 325/50.15 mt dr would fit on those rims. i know on MT website that approved rims will fit from 9-12'' but how would it affect the tire and how would it look?

i did see how they bulge on a 10'' rim and like that look. i do see how it would bulge way to much on a 10'' rim. I just figured id ask if anyone has seen this done or has it themselves. Thanks for the info.

i dont want to use a slick since i want to be able to use the tires on the street once and a while but will a 275/60 yield better traction than my 315/35/17 drag radials(always on the car for street driving) just from having more sidewall and while having less footprint.

Will it fit? Maybe.
Will it be worth a damn, probably not. Like gator said, stick to the 275/60 if you only have a 9" wheel. That last 3/4" or inch is a big difference.

I just swapped from MT 325's to M&H 325's (both drag radials) and they fit much better on my car. They are about 3/4" narrower on the sidewall and a hair less tire on the ground.
They fit my car wayyyyyyyyy better though and are still bigger than 275 MT's

i might have to look into the M&H tires. Im getting a 9'' rear right now and wanted to run some centerline wheels so the only option i have for a 15x10 wheel is a 6.5bs. I think i can narrow my rear 3/4 of an inch since i still have 17x11 wheels for the street i dont have a lot of room to narrow the rear. If i do 3/4 of an inch i think i can get away with a 1/4 or maybe 5/16 spacer.
The reason i was looking at a 9 inch wheel is it would fit with a 6.5 bs without narrowing the rear.

Understood.
I've seen folks run 28x10.5 slicks on 15x8.5's... wheels a bit narrow. I would not run 325 DR's on the same rims because they are equivalent to a 28W or 28x11.5 slick. A 15x9 might be pushing it, Might want to check with your stang buddies, they deal with the same issue.

Yah ive been looking at a lot of pics of the 325's on 10'' rims and that is about the perfect amount of bulge for me. i think i will just narrow the rear 3/4 of an inch and still get to tunr the centerline convo pro i wanted to run in a 15x10 with 6.5bs. With it narrowed 3/4 of an inch it might just stick out a little bit but its not a big deal since they will only be used at the track and for some weekends cruises. I will use the 315/35/17's with a 1/4 or 5/16 spacer for normal street used with the rear narrowed 3/4''. Hopefully it all works out well. thanks a lot for all of the info. Let me know if there is anything else i need to know.
