Whats a good strong paint? I'll be doing my 25.5 setup soon and would like to only do it once Was thinking ussing the POR 15 system. Any other strong paint's out there? Have a ton of pipes and frame work to do.

 

VHT self priming epoxy paint.

 

We have used the Por-15 on a few cages, covers nice and definately strong enough to last.

 

get some of that self leveling epoxy based urethane paint that's commonly used on boats.... that's what I used and it's hard as nails once it dries. I haven't scratched it yet, and it covers pretty good too, 2 coats on everything and it will be good to go.

 

I did mine with Por-15 paint and clearcoat. Still holding and looking good after 4 years

Nice seeing the POR result's I've used it on rears but just wanted to check.Only plan on doing this once.

 

I can't get POR15 to lay smooth. Mine always has air bubbles and can never get it smooth now matter how little or much paint I use.

 

I would have used POR-15 now, but mine is done in matching green color on the Nova. Use clear to help with the chipping if you try to match colors, otherwise POR is the way to go IMHO. I'll be doing my entire undercarriage with it shortly for the same reason you mentioned on what to use: It should last a long time!

Thin it down just a little( and I mean a little ) and it will dry smooth.

i primed mine with a spray bomb self etching primmer and painted it with a metalic krylon 2 coats then a coat of clear. it looks real good. the only scratches are where i get in and out, but its padded anyway so it all got covered.
the por 15 would probably work well also.
