Question every little bit??????

if my best 1/8 mile ET is a 8.6@84mph with a 2.0 60ft with a lid and cutout with BFG DR's! now if I do the FRA,TB bypass, remove the air filter and the spare tire and jack, front passenger seat, and use a front runners will I pick up at least a tenth in ET and 1 mph? also what do you guys run your tire pressure at with 275-40-17 DR's? any input will be appreciated!

I wouldn't take out the air filter if it was me, but all of that stuff might make .1 difference, but weather conditions will make a bigger difference, just wait till it gets colder.

I had never even thought about it until I read it on here? it's a track only deal, the track should not have any trash, bugs,or any other crap anyways and how many race cars do you ever see running filters? the answer was none!

Mine is track only and I run a filter.
I think the main reason that most don't run an air filter is because they are rebuilt a lot more often than your normal car. There is plenty of trash/bugs to get into your engine at the track. My car is always covered in bugs on the front by the end of the night.
A lot of the guys I know refresh there engine every year so no filter is really no big deal.

As far as the rest of the stuff it should pick you up more than .1
like said before cooler weather will pick you more than all of that. cooler weather should pick you up about .4 when it gets into the 40-50s

I ran 28lbs in the same size dr tire. I can't remember my best 60ft but best et was around 8.2 NA back when I was running that tire.

a bug will burn up and fly through the system. . .there aren't usually nuts & bolts laying around ready to fly into the air box on the track...would't consider that a risk, but I'm not spending 10K on an engine...
