4lug, nah the stang was cheap if you shop used parts you could build it really really cheap. It had old school Centerforge wheels etc. Nope opened the hood once made sure nothing was spewing and did not touch the pills. We had a 250 shot but I didn;t wish to risk the motor. The driver and he did a knock out job with the limited time he had not been gotten at the line he could have had it.
the stang had all steel body paels no cowl hood. Factory sheet metal.

Nice, so it was running like a flattop motor and some ported E7's? One of the first passes , maybe the first, the Stang carried the fronts like 2 car lengths, we started to side bet, within our crew.

The Thunderbird project car was donated by a club member. Club sponsors donated a set of off the shelf heads, they donated the pistons and they donated the paint and graphics work. The rest of the build was about $3,500 cash to buy parts for the engine and things we couldn't scrounge out of our garages or basements. We only spent that much cash because we got to a point where we couldn't wait for some things to get moved to the build site.
Labor was all club member work in my garage and another club member's garage. Our engine was built by another club member in his shop. Another club member built the rear end for the car in his garage. Everything else in the car was stock or spare parts from someone's garage or basement.
The car was painted and the engine was built prior to the actual build of the full car. That took just about 8 weeks to bring the whole thing from the stock car that pulled into my garage to the car we tested on the track. It made a 9.8s pass at 144 mph on its first day of testing on a 225 shot with a nice fat 7psi fuel pressure on the nitrous system. That wasn't even a full pass.
These cars were built to go fast and put on a good show. They got the job done.![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

Yep, one club member donated spare 8.8 they had sitting around. We bought the spool, gear and axles and one the club members built it up in his garage.
The C4 stocker was in a project car that one of the club members had purchased. He was storing it in the garage and needed space, so he donated it. It was a stocker that had been given the once over by the previous owner of the car and we just ran it as is. She's a weeeee bit tired now though after 17 passes.![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
The club members painted it at one of our club sponsor's paint shop. The sponsor donated the paint.
