315/35/17 with 3.42 gears A4?
I have a 4l80e, 10 bolt rear with 3.42 gears. Will the 315/35/17's be good as far as gearing goes in the 1/4 mile? Anyone run this combo at the track?

a standard 4l80e has the same ratios as a TH400 but also add's a .75 overdrive 4th gear. However, they can be ordered with a 2.75 (1st), and 1.57 (2nd)...
Standard GM spec 4l80e/4l80
(1st) 2.48
(2nd) 1.48
(3rd) 1
(4th) .75
Also you need to provide more details for anyone to help you with your question, things like desired trap RPM and estimated trap speed, and this is why I pointed you to the calculator...
I can tell you that that tire is very close to stock tire height in these cars and with those 3.42's you can run that thing out well past 130 in 3rd gear (depending on desired trap RPM)...
*** EDIT ***
I updated the calculator to have the 4l80/4l80e ratios in it...
