Two more questions on the topic.
How do you burn the methanol out of the oil?
Do those combos not run a vacuum pump just because its a loosing battle, so to speak?
With that being said, the amount of fuel a methanol motor injests, some will pass through the rings and get into the oil, thats why most guys say you need to change the oil every race day or burn the methanol out. The methanol does increase blow by and crankcase pressure. I have not seen a turbo/supercharged methanol combo run a vacuum pump in drag racing.

Long story short, I hurt the rings last year, didn't have enough fuel in the tuneup once we changed over to the new motor. It ran lean on the 1st hit, motor ran strong, no weird noises, pulled the plugs, they were fine. Figured all was ok eventhought the EGTs got a touch hot. When I fired the motor on methanol it just didnt sound like it was running perfect so did a compression test and found 3 cylinders were low. Pulled the cylinder head to see I burned the very tip of the back edge on the exhaust valve relief on number 4. Pulled the 3 that were low and the top rings were fatigued from the heat and lost their tension. So I got a new set of rings and have had the pistons checked, replacing 2 just to be on the safe side. Hopefully should have it back together in the next few days. Waiting on 2 pistons from diamond and a set of head gaskets.
