Removing burn-out rubber from wheel-well quarter panel? How?

we use GM tar & rubber remover at work (local chevy dealership). its in a tin can and is clear. WORKS GREAT!!! you can buy it from the parts department, not sure how much it costs. it will also take stickers off, double sided tape residue, and things like that.
