I developed my original kit around the Starr Pump almost three years ago. Many people, including Phil99 bought their stuff from me and either continue to use it, or now buy direct from Starr.

I sent a drive kit to GZ Motorsports several years ago. Nice guy. Looks like he found a way to mount his pump. Hope it works well.

My drive kit works as well on a F-Bod as it does on a C5/C6 or GTO

Anyone that wants to buy......buy your pump stuff from Starr and if you want a drive kit, email me and I'll hook you up with a supporting vendor here.

On the pump side use the 4 vane, std pump with built-in regulator, billet drive.

If you run it on the street be prepared to maintain the ball bearings on a regular basis. The pump pulls significant vacuum and, over time, will pull the grease out of the bearings.

here's thumbnails of components and an install.

Good luck,

Charlie

That's a very nice design/mount/drive/etc., but it wouldn't benefit me or others running an electric water pump.

By the way, I ended up ordering another ATI with the 66 rubbers. The original one had the regular 40 rubbers in it and it's going back. ATI recommended this as well.

Thanks for the heads up Fireball.

Hello Guys,

I did not read all 4 pages in that thread but I was wondering if somebody got a opinion on a vacuum pump for 540 BBC street-only engine.

Seems like the GZ is the one to choose, any opinion.
I also have bought an oil accumulator if that is important to know.

Thanks Hannes
