Default launch rpm with a 3,600 and 3.73s

I'm launching at 2,000 and getting low 12 oh times @ 111mph. What are you guys launching at who run high 11s with this combo?

I am guessing you are running an auto? A lot of cars vary, some leave off idle and try to flash the converter, some people will preload the suspension as much as possible. What is your 60ft?

It's automatic and my 60' is 1.57..just wondering what rpm you guys with a similar set-up with a stock motor (lid/pulley) are launching at.

There really is no guarintee'd way that will work. If you are getting 12.xx leaving at 2000, first thing I would try is pulling up and just stab it right off idle and see what it does, if it doesn't spin it should go faster, at least my car does. If you're having traction issues then loading it up some more might help, in that case bring it up as high as you can without pushing thru the brakes.

thanks..I will give it a try off idle..just seems that it will be quite a hit to the rear tires from idle with a 3,600 vig which is probably closer to a 3,800.

If it hooks it will be faster. What tire are you running, and what have you done to the suspension?

Car has M/T drag radials (20lbs), QA1s on back set at 3, random technology adj torque arm set at -3 degrees pinion angle and Hotchkis lower control arms. Front susp is stock.

If you can get a set of shocks for the front, the tires are good and the suspension settings are about right too. if you put the adjustable on the front, set them to 3, and put the rears to 5/6 right rear one stiffer then the drivers side, that will help keep the car level.

If you go to the track again with the car the way it is, pull the front swaybar off, and try stiffening the shocks a couple clicks, if it still hooks with the shocks stiffer it should be faster, less wasted energy on suspension movment.

If you are running the stock rear be careful flashing the converter. I broke three diffs doing that with 3.73s in the stock 10 bolt. brake torqueing is much better on the stock rear....

Thanks..I'm going to set the rear shocks at 4/5 and stall it up a couple of hundreths vs shocking the rear from idle.
