Fabricating them wouldn't be an issue. However, I live in Alaska, in base housing, with a 1car garage, and no place to do work like that let alone any test fitting. It's not about being hardcore. It's about being reasonable. So, if anyone has any brackets they fabbed up and wants to sell them, let me know.

I looked at the Kirkeys but everyone was telling me they were uncomfortable????
How do you figure out what size you need? I could def do both seats and a harness if I go with the Kirkeys.
Also is there anything you need to get special on the harness to use the back seatbelt bolt holes rather than mounting to a cage. I do not have a cage.

Oh and why a cage you make any more power and your lil tires are gonna be hurting LOL, when you taking off the training wheels and getting some 10.5w's

They look like a big cheese grater. They'll be covered up with the seat covers anyway, so you won't see it though. They cost around 450-500 total, when you factor in the covers and brackets, and for the 100th time, they are very comfortable.

I am putting a cage in because I plan on adding H/C and a healthy shot within a year or so. Why put a 6 point in when I would be adding onto it within a year anyway? And I will be going over to a 28x10.5 when I do decide to spray it. As much as I like beating cars with my 8" slicks, I think it is time to graduate to a man tire

I don't personally think the Kirkeys are comfortable I have another drag seat in the Camaro that's almost as comfortable as stock. But having the seats rigid mounted to the cage is the safest way to go. As one chassis guy to said to me, if you get in a serious accident you don't want the seat to kill you.

I have Kirkeys for my G-body Cutlass and they are very comfortable to me. I did add a little extra padding in the base of them though with some 1/2" high density foam glued to the base of the seat.
Actually I got my seats out of George Coffey's old car, anybody remember that guy

Dopefed any reason you run the drivers seat that you do? I am running a seat like your passenger's seat and found it to be very comfortable, one like your drivers seat I don't think I'd fit in LOL.... I'm too thick around the middle and that seat wouldn't like me much

I went ahead and ordered the drivers seat in the kevlar. The guy on the phone told me 12lbs with mounting and cover

I'll have to weight it when it comes. In any event delivered to my door, cover, seat, mounting 500$. Everybody else tacked on extra cost for each thing. I'll post pics when I get it.
