Nope, had to order in a specific Fbody bracket, which ended up weighing a ton. Still lost weight just not as much as I intended to.

Which ones are those exactly? What's the difference between the type 1, 2, and 3 seats?

The shape of the seat is the only difference.

You can get all three types in the different materials, I think.

Not what the guy freaking quoted me.....

The seat with cover........14lbs

The side mount bracket....5 lbs (this can be had in aluminum which would proabaly shed 5lbs across the two seats.)

The Mounting..................7lbs (this had to come from a different company so I can't penalize them for not knowing the weight.)

I would think someone with some aluminum and time could drop an easy 7lbs per side off of what I have with the metal side brackets and metal mount.

The only plus for the mount is it has the front cross bar to acomodate the crotch strap on a five point harness. So that won't have to be added latter.

So overall between the two seats I dropped 23lbs. When I race I take out the passenger seat with then brings me to a total weight loss of 42lbs

Those are from JAZ Products and are called "Pro Stock" seats. They are a lot more comfortable, but do weigh 3lbs more per seat. I am happy with them.

hey Matt what kinda brackets did you use to mounts those? and would 2 of these seats plus brackets be lighter than a single driver's power seat and all associated wiring?

thanks,
Steve

FWIW,

I swiss cheesed my 16" kirkey's. With my angle aluminum brackets they weigh 15.6 prior to swiss and 13.8 now. So there isn't a LOT of weight to lose, but 3.5lbs for both isn't too bad. I probably didn't go as crazy as some. I will get pics tomorrow.

I had custom brackets made so they were exactly where I wanted them. My stock cloth powered driver seat was 40lbs, and the passenger was 30lbs. These new seats weigh 16lbs each with the brackets, so yes, the two of them would be lighter than just having one stock driver seat.

Heres a pic of my RCI seat from the back. Sorry I dont have any better pics. I drove around all last year without any covers on them. I am ordering covers for the seats as well as 5pt harnesses that will go in when I install my roll bar. With the seat covers on it should feel like a lazy boy compared to last year without the covers.
