well i already made up my mind, i am going to go back to DR my 60 foot didnt get any beeter and i have to trailor my car with slicks. now i just have to figure out if i should go back to the 325 or go with the 315 now that i have the mini tubs done, but i am worried that a 30" tall tire will hurt my times

The 30's will just let you run a taller gear which could make for a wild launch.

30" 315 60 15 that's the tire I was going to run but I have a stick car and am going the Hooiser QTP tire.

Yeah gears cost money, but Iran will probably send a million nukes this way this years anyways so why not live it up

i have used hoosier QTP tires for like 3 years straight on every fbody..and i love them to death. plus..they're lighter than DR's.

slicks=2ply rumba , get used to it.

Per the tire manufacturers, bias-ply slicks will last an average of twice as long as a radial tires for a racing application while they will also be more consistent. I have had good luck with ET Streets for a DOT tire and I have also had good luck with Hoosier slicks.

I use slicks at the track, I think they hook way better than DR's. But 10 pounds is low as hell. I use 15-20 and I have no problems hooking up.
