i cut mine last year and will be making it pretty here soon when the BBC goes in....

All of the race classes that I have looked into in my area require that this area can only be "notched" for carb style tb. If I cut that whole area, I won't be allowed in the classes. That would be something worth looking into if you race alot.

Has everyone removed the heavy rubber moulding that seals the rear of the hood? is it ok to do with ramair? I thought it was better to keep the air in vs out the back of the hood near the windshield..thanks

I would check the class that you want to run first. You can usually notch it for a carb style throttle body but you can't cut the enitre cowl out.

LOL that's what I say, and the way I am building my car the only class I can fit into out here is PSCA Pro Street which are all mid 6 second cars
