I am going to run the 29x11.5 soon so I will let you know.
My car is some what low, 26 3/4" from the ground to fender in the rear so mine will tuck the tire.
I also have a tubs in my car, I am only running that size because right now I only have an 8" wide rim, when I got to a bigger rim I am going to run the 31x13.5 tire

Best way to find out is get out the tape measure and measure the tire you have, then see how much more the other tire will stick out if going bigger. I have a 275 60 15 on mine and when properly centered know there is a good amount of room on the inside and outside, so you're only talking about adding .4" on the inside and outside, that tire should fit no problem assuming you're using the right backspace to start with.
Measure the tire you have, get the section width, then figure out how much bigger the other tire is, then you can measure / eye ball how much room you have left.
Cutting out the bump stops will net you a good gain in clearance which is very easy to do, next point of clearance you need to look at is the front inner fender well which is where the BFH comes in.

Just for comparison sake, I am running a 28x11.5 and I had to beat the **** out of the inner fender and cut out a bunch of **** to make them fit. My car is also stock height for now. It seems every car is a little bit different, but I bet you are going to have to massage the hell out of those inner fenders and possibly run a spacer.

See how they compare to a 28W MT. As a comparo, the 28W MT"s require some BFH'g and clearancing when used with Bogarts. If you use 15x10/7.5 Welds you might need to cut some inner sheetmetal in the front down by the LCA mount. Welds tuck in more.
