You still got plenty of weight in their - don't forget to remove the door panels and drivers side air bag.

I would think with no motor even less than 2400#.

I had an 88 Mustang with a 347 that weighed 2420 with me in it. And it was running!

talk about weight reduction!! lol that look's awesome man...how much of that do you plan to keep out when the car goes back together?

BTW fox body mustang's are just a honda body with a 302 in em'...try throwing a 422cid LS1 in a 4cyl. coupe fox body

I think that is the air bag controller isn't it? I haven't pulled that off yet.

DO YOU HAVE AN ESTIMATE OF HOW MUCH WEIGHT YOU SAVED BY DOING THAT? MY CAR IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHAPE YOUR CAR IS IN BUT I DONT KNOW IF THE WEIGHT REDUCTION BY REMOVING THE SUPPORT IS WORTH IT THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

Yes...the support is gone in that picture. Just remove the foamy stuff and then remove about 6 nuts holding the metal bumper support on.

Iron block, stock 4-inch bore, stock crank (new), Eagle rods (6.125), Wiseco pistons with 2cc reliefs, 232/234 cam on a 112, and a TNT kit. Backed up by a TH400 and about a 4000-4500 stall.

Hmmm, I thought I had a hardcore street car without the emergency brake?

Todd, you should go through the car with a sanding disc and remove all the excess panel filler. That should save you about 8 pounds!!
