never raced wut do i do

i live in houston if i go to the race track wut do i do????is there a sign in then i get in line??? if thats how it works then when i get to the starting line do i just wait for the light and go or do i do a burn out like on tv???? how do i do that burn out with a standard?? just dump clutch and try to hold the brake some and smoke them down???

any help will be appreciated

im also debating on a z28 or a mustang gt they will be 99 or newer

Yes you have to sign in. When your next to race, wait until you see the green light and do a burn out to heat up the tires. When you have finished your burn out, you will see a 'Tree' of lights. Move up until the second Orange lights turns on and stay there. Once the green light comes out, Floor it. Im sure youll get the hang of it from there. Sorry I hope this helps a little.

If you are using street tires, you don't want to burn them too much. Basically what you're goin for is to spin them over a few times to clean them off. Also if you're on street tires, be sure to drive around the water box. You'll see what I mean.
