Humm it seems like 1.50's are the magic number. Im going to have some of my dads very light, small rims from when he used to race protree back in the stone age, but even witht the extra h/p and weight reduction i dont think im gunna be able to go any faster than a 1.65.... maybe itll come up a bit, being able to say my street car does wheelies (while still going rounds) would be so cool.

I have IRS and don't pull them up at all with low 1.4's.

Suspension set-up, torque #s, transmission choice and launch characteristics are going to make this a question where there isn't a "magic" 60 foot where you pull the wheels. I've seen drag suspension set-ups on 13 second cars pulling low 1.7 60 foots pull a wheelie, and as mentioned some cars in the 1.4 range still have the front tires firmly on the ground the entire run.

1.64 for me. Guess I pulled em a few times when one of my buddys told me about it. I didnt know. With the car doing 1.50s, both tires are off for just a moment. Just a few inches and fairly even (from what Im told). No pics yet. Maybe one day.

1.7x here, it was ugly. Stock front suspension, t56, 6400rpm dumps on ET streets. The car would yank wheel, drop down then finally move forward. It was embarrassing.

1.48 60FT. also helps to relocate the battery in the back of the car as well as shedding weight off the front end.

1.90s in a 55 Chevy with a 327 and a manual trans and mild wrinkle wall MTs. Tires came off an entire foot. This car had lots of gear and it does have a solid frame like a pickup though. Suspension setup makes a big difference, as does tranny and rear gear choice. 90/10 drag shocks in front, and slapper bars in the rear. Pinion angle about 5 degrees negative. My 283 will pull the tires about six inches. It hits 1.70 sixty foot. This is a rather violent leaving street car. Plans are for a big block and glide combo this spring. Going bracket racing!

Wow, I must have been doing something wrong. Don't remember when I got one off the ground.
It was 1.30's before I got both off the ground.
