Didn't get any replies in the external section so I figured someone here might.

What type of bellows or air cleaner setup do you use? This throttle body points downward at a good angle which seems like it would be a sumbitch to get a bellows on with a maf pointing down then have to go back up to the lid which points downward also, and there aint a whole hell of a lot of room.

I don't run anything. It's just open at the end of the throttle body.

Here is mine, not exactly the same but it will give you some ideas.

I dont see how you will get a MAF in there unless you chop off the end of that throttlebody.

Or go with a speed density tune and just put a rubber 45* couple on there. Yout TB is where my MAF is sitting. At about the same angle.

I had the big gulp that Madman made on it for a while. I took it off because I think it had too much frontal area. I run open tb now.

Well when we first built the big gulp, my car ran 134mph and we thought the bigger the better, now that the car runs 150+mph I think it is too much area, and will slow the car. Think of it this way, the big gulp was 12 inch high and 2.5 feet wide. Try and hold a 2"x12"x2.5' piece of wood out of you car window at 50mph, how hard is it to hold there???
Just imagine what it would be at 150 mph, yes it helped with the ram air, but a small hole say the size of a license plate would be suficent. I will try and fab another ram air for the current combo, when I get time and do a back to back test to see if it makes positive pressure on the big end.

I figured you still had the big gulp on there, at 150 mph that thing probably produces the equivalant of 5 or 6 psi of boost.

Not sure if the drag would hurt though, if the air isn't getting backed up there and is getting inhaled by the motor, it may not hurt..... something to think about.

Air backing up in the air scoop would be drag. And I have logs from a friend on a BS3 of a nitrous outlaw 10.5 car with a pro stock style hood scoop that produce maybe .5 psi boost at 190mph. I would only need a scoop in the bumper the size of a pro stock car hood scoop or just a tad bigger. Plus now I have the fuel cell in front of the radiator, and I will have to fab something to get around that.
