reasonable 60' time on street tires??
#22
Ok guys so i finally got around to go to the strip, because of so much wind we could only race the 1/8. heres one of the slips. Im number 22, i raced my dad, he was in a 94 camaro z28 lt1 with just a K&N cold air intake on street tires as well.
my first time was a lil bit worse but my second time ^ was my best, i only raced twice because i forgot the window chalk for the dial in!
i was on street tires @ 25 psi stalling at 3200 and feathering it off the line w/o letting the tires break loose, actually they didnt spin off the line!
I will post my setup as soon as i can think of all the specs and stuff done to it!

I took my car last night for the first time. My first time at the track as well. I went real easy the first time, 2.3 60'. On the second run I hit a 2.0 60'. Thats on 285/40/R17 Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals. They hooked pretty good. Only a little spin off the line. I was surprised to say the least. I missed third on the second pass though. I ran a 13.2 the first pass short shifting pretty bad. I went from 8.8 1/8th on the first run to a 8.25 1/8th on the second. So it should have been a mid 12 pass. I'm gonna try for a 1.9 next week.
