You just confirmed what the original thread maker needed to know. He is almost 300 lbs. so he needs the 18 inch wide seat. You pointed out we are almost the same size and I would love to able to put a 17 inch seat in, this 16 inch is just to small, but it is all I can get in there.

I think if you can get the 18 inch in you car you will be happy. Regardless of the wieght difference between the 17 inch and 18 inch you are still saving a lot of weight. My factory cloth seat with power adjustment compared to the Kirkey seat saved me 31 lbs.

after owning both, Id say go with the pro's as they are a bit more comfy imo.
