from what i understand you can't get the key in to lock the tops, but opening them and closing them is no problem (havent tried the key on my own yet)

no i did not seal the foam after cutting.. it would have been a good idea.

the swingouts and window net are very nice, i have them out for now.

I just got my car back, I can open/close the T tops no problem, if I were to cut a key a little bit it would probably be able to fit in to lock them. I'll probably have a 2nd key made and cut it so I can lock them. From the pic's, I'd guess mighymouse probably can get in there with a cut key also.

If I have to I will weld a small piece of metal 90degrees onto a 2nd key so I can lock them.

Where there's a will, there's a way

I've been concerned with how a car with the ttops out and a cage would look and now I know! Hell, I was concidering trading in for a hard top. I thought the combo wouldn't look clean but you guys have convinced me otherwise! And now I know the key can be made to fit if needed..****, it's on!!

update on this, i got the cage 8.5 IHRA cert yesterday. it passed just fine, no negative comments at all

the inspector only had good things to say, and furthermore that it was the best job he had seen in a while.

thanks again.

either cert was fine for memphis.

99% of the tracks i race at are ihra, and 100% of the events i have ever entered look for either cert. not nhra specific.
