for the rear would something be needed to keep the bumper cover from acting like a parachute? without the factory bumper more air might get in there?

looks like ill be ordering bumpers and the steering wheel soon

We plan on having the rear bar incorporate the ability to mount a chute.

The only way around the air issue is to build a valance underneath. You have the same issue with the bumper support in as if it was out. It's just a bigger hole. The bumper support does not block a lot of air.

I have seen people pop a couple holes next to the lic. plate to give the air a way to escape, I don't know if it actually helps or not though.

Kudos to Burkhart on this stuff too, because there's been a demand for it for years, and noone's really executed anything that was well built and fit right. You guys are putting forth some effort to get people the kind of stuff they want, ya deserve alot of credit for doing so!

I would think that a couple of holes would create more drag than no holes.
As the bumper creates an airbag, air flowing would be like "stock" form underside of it with no holes. The small holes would create air flowing thru the bumper (no airbag), if the pressure is bigger on the air going to the bumper than the air flowing out, it may generate resistance. in any case i dont think it would be THAT much to slow down a fast car..
Maybe you can holesaw the hell of it like the honda guys

Thats what I THINK would happen...

I dunno if the holes help, I've just seen it done. FWIW, I'm not gonna bother trying it.

maybe some testing is in order when i get it then, becasue i would think fabing up an airdam under the bumper would make the tubular piece weigh almost as much as the stock piece

im only going for 11s so maybe it wont even affect me all that much?

Prototype is 12 lbs.

It will work with a formula.

The frist 7 orders are 210.00

After that it will be 229.00 bare and 249.00 coated. CM tube ain't cheap.

Any idea on how long before you have one for the lt1 cars? I would like one without the fog light brackets. Thanks, Rick.

We want to see how this one goes. There was a lot of interest from the TA/Firebird crowd. If this item takes off we will do others. It just does not pay to do the R&D if we will not sell any.

So, if we start to sell these the Camaro version (LS1 and LT1) will be next.
