looking for a 02 camaro hood to clear a BBC with dom & Plate has anyone had experience with a hood that will clear a short deck BBC with a dominator (cross ram) and a 1" nitrous plate.... i'm pretty sure the Mike Moran hood will clear but it looks like a bitch to look over... im wonder about the sunoco extended version... some thing that is pin on that wont take a lot of time making it fit.

Justed picked up a Sunoco hood for my 02 and you will have 6 1/4 from the cowl leading edge... $458.00 pin on

well i just went ahead and ordered the mike moran hood.... i may need all the clearance i can get on down the road if i decide to do a tall deck or any kinda blower or turbo.....

The Sunoco style VFN clears a BBC with a Dart intake just fine. The real constraint is the rear float bowl on the carb hitting the cowl under the windshield.
Since you mentioned "cross ram", I am guessing you have a different configuration manifold than a regular BBC Dart manifold.
