Looks good, I can't tell from the pic - does the alternator wire go the battery side of the switch or the starter side? Also it looks like a Taylor box, is it vented?

Taylor box. Alternator wire goes to the battery side of the terminal. Shuts the car off immediately

Havent got the air cleaner thing worked out yet. Its just on there while I wait for the stall to get finished,,,,just so no baby seals get lost in the TB

Part # for the battery box is #48103

Part number for the shut off lever is SUM-830051

I just zip tied the main wire and alternator wire together and ran it under the carpet. Take the passenger seat out (mine is always out) then the computer and run the wires thru the firewall. I ran the main wire to a distribution box that I got from a stereo shop and ran the alternator wire along the frame to the Kframe and over to the alternator. Then used the stock starter wire and fuse box wire to the distribution box from the stereo shop.

I cant take any great pics of the interior wiring cause I put the carpet back in. I searched for hours to get pics of this install and couldnt find any, so hopefully it helps

Alternator wire is at the very bottom of the pic.

I could be wrong, but why run the ground outside the trunk area? Why not just ground it right there?

THanks

Looks good. Personally I always worried about putting the battery in a metal box, hence why I went with a moroso plastic one, plus every tech inspector in the world knows that box and that it is legal.

Car looks real good too!

I wanted to BOLT the ground in. Only way I could have secured the ground from inside the car was to self tap it into the thin sheetmetal and I wasnt to excited about that. Besides the gas tank is all around the back hatch area and hitting the tank with a self tapper is rediculous.

Whats the big deal about a metal box? NHRA rules say to have a firewall between u and the driver. I figured it was more functional than a plastic one. Either way, its legal to race

It's legal, I just worry that if the battery were to ever shift in the box, it's shorting on the metal, plastic, there's no chance of that. Not a big deal though, there's a million people using a metal box with no problems, it's jsut a perferance thing. Ya could weld a ground stud on in the spare tire well too fir a ground. My chassis guy made a small frame to mount my moroso box on and welded the shutoff switch mount onto the rollcage back bar/mounting plate. He also welded a big ground stud right to the mounting plate, so there's a solid grounding point in the back of the car.

I have a crappy one, but I will have better ones as soon as I get the rest of the interior back together. I'm about 90% done with my wiring mess, as soon as that's done I will notch the dash around the cage, reinstall it, recarpet the car and reinstall the rest of the interior.

Here's the only picture I have, not that great but you get the idea.
