AFR or Trick Flow out-of-box heads, 230/236 .592/.602 112 LSA cam, Yank PT4000 stall, and a 275/50/15 MT Drag Radial. Since it is an '01 you should have the LS6 intake, so get your stock TB ported. Throw on an underdrive pulley and get a tune from a reputable shop. You will have 10.90s in the bag.

You will need a Traz-brake to cut a good light. Those boys & girls dont mess around on the starting line. You will also need a cut off switch in the back.

Good luck!

My Camaro has run 10.92 at 3350 raceweight. I'd say:

28" tire for consistency, 4.10 gear in a 12 bolt or 9", T400 for consistency and the transbrake, TFS or AFR 215cc heads, 23_/23_ or 24_ cam, Fast 90 intake, 90mm TB. I'd run a 4500-5000 stall or run maybe more gear.

Super Street is getting ridiculous... I'll be running ~147 on the stop and probably get chased down a time or two. At least I'm not a chassis car with a couple hundred pounds of ballast, just a large unit sitting in the hole. I'm thinking about running Super Comp if I can hit 5.70.

Anyway, you definetely want a trans brake and you don't NEED a delay box or throttle stop but it's a whole lot easier if you do.

You will need a car that runs 10.60s in average air to compensate for bad air and being able to run the number IN that bad air and or bad track conditions.

These index class guys are very hard to beat.

you needto go alot faster than that, my dad ran 10.20's for years in Super street and was actually 12th in the natl' points, but he was gettin chased alot, now hees gunna be running 9.30's if he decides to go alky, or 9.70's if he stays gasoline and hees still gunna run superstreet. Basically just because your car can go 10.9 doesnt mean you can run and be good in the class.
