Congrats on the new best

I guess I should add a bit more detail.

7000rpm clutch dump, 26" tire, 100% bone stock suspension.

new setup

Stepping up to 4.88 gear, 28" tire, AFCO rear shocks, stock rear springs, 300lbs'rs up front , Strange SA shocks up front, Burkhart LCA's and HD torque arm, aluminum PHB.

Pulled another 100lbs from the car but haven't had a chance to get to the track.

Only been out once. I made 10 runs. Best 60 was 2.18.
I was very inconsistent, most were 2.2-2.4.

I have a road race set up, and road race tires (275/40/17 Falken 615s).

And an M6, I imagine the sub 1.9 guys are definitely autos, and likely have much more drag friendly tires.

1.995 K&N only, go it down to 1.992 removing the spare/ jack and sway bar. Now with lid/ magnaflow and tune I'm down to 1.957. All runs in 80 degree weather.

I got a 2.16 60' on 245/50/16 tires on a very cold and windy day. I think I can cut a 2.0 with better weather and track conditions.

im on cheap sumo's at 29psi their rated at 45psi. my best 60 is a 2.4 i swear i slip the clutch but maybe im not doing it just right where i don't blow the tires off. all i do is blow the tires off.

on a side not i think i got a factory freak or something. the only thing in the car (not everything in my sig is installed) is ls7 clutch, tick master, short throw, tick stage 2 trans. once the car finally stops spinning i still manage to trap high with a bad reaction time an horrible 60.
best et is 14.0 flat
r/t 1.0 flat
60 ft 2.4
im trapping almost 105mph
she pulls hard for a stock car once she stops spinning. she also shifts like butter

Holy Thread Resurrection Batman....

Sumis suck for traction, you're leaving the line with too much RPM. Start at 1000-1100 and work your way up. you'll eventually find what works best

When i was bone stock she could run 2.0s all day. A4 WS6 with over 80,000 on her at the time. So i would expect a good driver with a car with less wear and tear at a better track would have no issue pulling 1.9s

My personal best was a 2.04, but that was with my G8. I saw a guy with a 6-speed 4th gen SS hit a 1.93 once.
