Default How To Get A Good Launch For My Camaro?

so ive been really trying to get my launches down. I just bought my 6 speed 2001 camaro z28 couple months ago. (my first manual or car) use to have a bronco. but anyway ive done some searches and find diff answers.....? so im wondering how can I get a good launch? my camaro is stock just with a hurst shifter and borla exhaust.

I usually do a peal out or burnout to warm up the tires then I have it revving at 3000 rpm n then let go of the clutch. it bogs a little but then gets going. now my camaro comes with the ASR button so I have that ON because if its off im spinning all the way down the road until I shift....? I now I need some better kind of tires but any suggestions? maybe have it revving higher? also having the asr on, does that slower you car by anyway? thanks

ASR off. Rev to 2500-3000 and slip the clutch a little instead of dropping it. Other than that, get new tires so you can drop it. Then you better get a rear-end and better clutch.

then you'll be underpowerd, so you'll cam your engine, but that means new valve springs and might as well get heads. Oops, there went your rear end. Nice gear ratios w/the tranny would help. . .ENDLESS! ! !

I added about 40 RWHP and 30 FtLbs torque AND the LCA relocations at the same time along w/MT ET Streets. Managed to go from 1 or 2 sub 2.0's in 60 visits to the track to 4 out of 5 at 1.9 or better. IF I launch harder, I should/could get a 1.7 AND a new rearend

ASR off. If it spins, lower the rpm, if it bogs raise it. Find the "happy spot".

Get some good tires... Then, like was said above, the fun begins.
