Re: thinking of going th400
I too am currently looking at making the same swap. I don't think my SPEC Stage 3 clutch is going to survive the winter season of 6000rpm clutch dumps on gas very long. With my continued driving style, i'll be replacing the clutch and rebuilding the transmission within the next 6 months and I'd much rather just spend that money on a TH400 setup that I shouldn't have to worry about for QUITE a while longer than that.
I've been looking at a TH400 w/reverse manual valve body and a brake and maybe a 3200ish stall (on motor, flash up a little higher on gas) and dropping back down to 3.42-3.55 rear gears from the 4.11's I have now.

not going the 200r4 route, been there with my gn and had nothing but problems with that.
terry, i was looking at your 350, but im kinda tight on cash at this moment. i like that idea alot with the lockup on the highway and for those high trapspeeds at the track.

Re: thinking of going th400
I went from M6 to TH400 a year ago.
I'm going back to M6 as we speak. The TH400 has been a pain in the ***, my daily driver is a WRX, which won't pull a car obviously, and I have no trailor anyway..
getting the car to the track, even just 45-50 miles away is such a headache it takes 90 percent of the fun out of it, so I've had enough. Driving it there rattles the brain inside the skull due to high rpm and getting a tow vehicle and trailor is a pain in the *** and doubles the expense for the track trip.
I personally am going back to M6 and am going to have some fun with the car again, all out race setup seemed like a good idea at that time, but just hasn't worked out for me.
