I built Pacos and the Mustang in 2007. Paco bought the motor from an outlaw 10.5 racer. He was going to run a LS based motor but he saw the light and realized it wouldnt be competitive without a turbo and hes a NOS guy.

It's a 5.000" BS 632 Fulton engine he got from Greg Pizzino's Outlaw 10.5 car. In 06 it ran 4.60's in Outlaw 10.5 trim.

What? Why on earth would someone build a 5" BS 632?

Paco's cool as hell.

I guess that's how far we've come in the last 4 years. The engine was built in '04 I think.

Maybe they offer better heads in the 5" bore space? I'm going Dart big M block 10.2 deck. I don't even want to ask hat a 5" bore space block costs.

The thing is, by the time you get the block and heads, it's not but a little extra to build a 700+ engine instead of a 632. You're gonna have to buy a crank anyways, so might as well get a big one and build an 800" engine.

But back when the engine was built if you could run low .60's in Outlaw you were a bad dude, so the 632" was good enough.

Mr. Madman any idea how much weight it saves running a strut vs tubular uppers and lowers if keeping the towers in place like this?

Why??? For the same money with Burkhart uppers and lowers and a Racecraft spindle you are the same weight and legal.
