Battery Relocation Question

Do you guys think it would be safe using 8g wire to relocate the battery?

I know the kits on the market use 2g, so thoughts?

I would use 4 gauge as a minimum, and the high quality stuff.

2 gauge minimum if it is located in the truck area.

2 gauge minimum. Fine braid is better than the cheap kit stuff.

Yeah the welding cable is awesome. Fine strand audio cable is great but expensive as hell.

I thought I heard audio cable doesn't have a very tough jacket.

I know the kit I bought, like 20 years ago. Had crap *** wire. Big strands, jacket hard, didn't form where I wanted. The fine strand welding cable has a thicker jacket, softer, but tough, forms exactly as you need it.
