I'd like to see some chassis setups, there are a lot of different pro stock looking rear cage setups, also under the floor bar setups. Mainly I am going to build a fast pro street car, no need to ever go faster than 7.50's, so most likely a mild steel 25.5, it'll be light enough, and I don't care about resale value, but I'll tack it all and have it all tig welded so it at least looks welded super clean. I want something nice looking that is going to look clean for my big tire "street car" lol.

Hey at least I have pics and can say yeah I had a small tire mini tubbed car, never drove it once mini tubbed but they won't know that lol.

I like this look in the photo a lot.

Oh I was also going to ask, I was thinking of raising the floor some, any downsides to that, moving the floor bars a little higher than the stock floor?

Do you know where I can get the tubbing size requirements for building a 25.5 with a pro stock style rear frame. I will use 1 5/8 on everything, but I know as far as bracing they use smaller tube, just not sure what legal sizes are allowed.

My old heap

I know, I picked an amazing location for a photoshoot Those are the only good ones I have since it's finished.

My dads

We bracket race our brains out every weekend, big tires are the way to go.

I know my setup isn't exactly like yours but if you need pics of the cage/underneath let me know. I can get some next week. My cage and backhalf are done very very nice (wasn't me, that's why it's nice ). Everything is tigged and clean.

Cool so they have detailed requirements, also saw a kit from vanishing point race cars that looked cool, them or who else makes unwelded, 3/4 chassis kits? I'd like to do it myself but buying a bender and all the pipe will probably cost me more than the kit and I won't be doing it for a long time.

Try Rick Jones/Quartermaster for a 3/4 kit.

They have some nice stuff that is what I am looking for 3/4 chassis plus the 2 forward struts that run into the engine compartment.

I am looking at something like this.

I forgot I had these ones saved on my computer. Sorry for the huge size:

There's also the TSP car: https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-vehicle-projects-shop-tours/617676-tsp-camaro-430ci-w-ls7-components.html
All the pictures are down though.

Probably one of the coolest LSx powered drag cars: http://www.w2wpowertrain.com/t-Turbo-LS1-2.aspx

Damn SLowETz that is one awesome ride, did you build it yourself? Also how did you hang the fenders and front nose.

Thanx for the kind words guys.

This is actually a newly acquired money pit(the last one wasn't quite deep enough Haha!).

It's an old build actually.... John Sandahl @ Tube Chassis Designz built the car in '94 as a Pro Street/show car ride. Dry sump/540" Merlin/Brodix combo with an old "Street and Performance" EFI set-up. Engine management is locked antiquated at best.

The fenders/nose are hung off of a series of small dia. tubing gussets/welded tabs.

If you want, I'll snap some pics showing more of the chassis details and shoot'em back to you in a PM..... just lemee know-

Everything appears to be very well done and in good condition considering it's age, although as with anything it's got it's qwerks that need to be addressed.

It's a 2"x3" full tube chassis/12 point 8.50 sportsman caged strut car(basically 25.5 less a couple bars and funny car halo)@ ~2800 lbs.

Leaning towards re-freshing w/another Vengeance big inch LSx stroker and swapping out the TH400 for a Neal Glide.

Hoping to get it in the 8's on a small hit..... we'll see-

This post is all about the BIG TIRE boys, post up all the photos you want, more info we can share better mine will turn out lol. I'm excited to break out the sawzaw on mine, waiting for a buddy to help me pull the motor and trans, which are sold!!! So now I am really excited.

Not sure if I want to cut off the front shock towers and go struts, they are pretty expensive, and I have front drag shocks and springs already. Man but that looks so sweet and there is so much engine room and 2,800 pounds, I'm going lexan windows and gutting the doors so I sure I might be able to get mine lower. Either way as long as it is under 3,000 w/driver with a BBC I'll be jazzed.

Post up those photos I am dying to see that thing some more. I want to go dart big M 10.2 deck and built is as big as I can afford with 10.5-1 or so and spray it a bit then convert to alky and add boost =)

Isnt that what I just suggested Chris? A full chassis car then hang your body on it and you are on your way to a light, big tired "street car".

My gf said I should cut off the front and she likes how it looks so I guess I will cut it off lol. Besides might as well go all out if I am going to do this.

Tell you what Chris. This will save you a ton of hassle.

Take your radiator cap off, and drive a Pro Stocker under it, re-affix radiator cap and you are done
