LIGHT weight hoods with hood pins?

I got the hood last year to run Top Stock at Rockingham. It was a last minute decision. VFN knocked it out in record time. Cost was around $600.00 plus $55.00 freight.
I would think that it would be fine on a street car. The biggest problem would be the fact that you have to take it off and put it somewhere to do anything to the motor. I could see where that might become a pain after a while.
