With 3" cut off each side of the rear, I can fit a quarter between the LCA and the 315's DR, which are mounted on a 15x10 convo pro 5" bs. I have a 12" spring in there, because I can not slam the car down because ot hits the top of the fender. imo, I would have been better off cutting 3.5 or even 4" from each sise.

The next step is to try & see how a 6" bs fits in there..

Here is a pic of my car with a narrowed 9", 15x10 Weld Alumastars w/ 5" BS, and 325/50 M/T DRs.. Stock springs in the rear.. I'm not sure how much the rearend is narrowed though. I was told 3" per side, but I think that is incorrect. I have MadMan offset control arms and a 3/4" aluminum wheel spacer to get the wheel moved outward enough to clear the inner wheel well.. And as you can see I still have plenty of room between the fender lip and the outside of the tire.

btw.. The car is sitting about 1-2 inches higher than normal due to the rack being under it...

That looks about right for a 325, but add a 315, and the tire gets right up into the fender, if you try & lower it. Maybe the brand of rim plays into this, in addition to if you have stock brake, or drags brakes.

Did you walk up to us with your wife? I remember someone walking up and talking to us for a minute with his wife.

We spoke briefly, we were pitted kind of close to you(with the burgundy Mustang we ran on PINKS). Is Gville your local track?

Sweet Pix Guys...
I recently had Madman & Company Racing minitub my 02 SS
I had my Moser 9" narrowed 3" per side and I now run a full set of
Billet Specialties 15x10 Rears with a 5.5" B.S. with 325 M/T-DR's
The 4.5" B.S. wheels would still hit the Offset LCA's. I also run
Strange Race Brakes. I can drop the car as far down as I like
without any problem. Also,... I am NOT running any spacers.
Here are a couple of pics

Hope some of this Helps

Ok I remember. We were rooting for you guys.
No we drove the orange car there that day we live in between Orlando and Tampa. The last time we were there Greg was testing out a mustang for one of our customers. Our home track is Lakeland. We also race at Orlando and Bradenton. OSW is about 1 hour away and Bradenton is almost 2. Depending on our speed

Sorry this is Paula. Didn't realize I was under Gregs name..

how are you running a 5" backspacing and not hitting the LCA?

When you mini tub the tire will hit the LCA before the tub. A regular offset lower control arm will give you about 14 1/4" - 14 1/2" from the fender to LCA, the tub is 16" from fender to tub. If that car in the photo has tire shake it is going to rub the hell out of the LCA, you can go with a 1" diameter lca, but you'll only gain 1/8th" more space. Unless you're trying to run 7's or low 8's there is no reason you can't use a 15x10, a guy named steve short out here runs a 315 60 15 on a 15x10 and runs 7's, a 12" is only needed for all out guys trying to set records.

ok so the big diff. is hes running the 12's vs 10's.

so 5.5 narrowed, narrowed bracket full tubs 15x10 315/60/15 I'll have plenty of room ?
