Default Narrowed 9" and Panhard Bar Question

I'm trying to center my new Fab 9" from burkhart under my car. It seems that the panhard bar is to long and I cannot center the rearend properly. I run out threads on the rod ends to move the rearend over toward the passenger side of the car. Seems as though I'm going to have to shorten the bar by about 1-2 inches to get the right adjustment.

Has anyone ever had to shorten their panhard bar in order to center a fab rearend in thier car. The rearend has been narrowed 3" per side but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Who made your PHR? I have a Wolfe. I'm just going to order some 1/2x20 tube adapters and shorten it. Can't see any other way of correcting the problem.

I have a Midwest Chassis housing narrowed 3 1/2" per side and a Wolfe phb. It was too long also.

I thought I was going crazy or my car had some frame damage or something. At least someone else has had this problem. I will just shorten it. Thanks for the reply!

Mine is shortened 3" per side. The PHB was fine. I would look else where before cutting it up.

What is the length of your guy's phb without the rod ends? That would tell me if the wolfe bar is to long.

I had to shorten mine about 1/2 inch or so when I put my narrowed 9 inch in. It was not a big deal for me because I have the lakewook PHB and it had plenty of threads left after I cut it. I would not worry about cutting it.

I had to shorten mine, depends on who built the rear and where the hookup was put on the housing.

I had mine moved over, narrowed 3 inches per side.

Did you minitub the car?? You also need to make sure the panhard bar runs level when the car is at ride height. Anytime I minitub a car I move the panhard bar to the upper hole which calls for a shorter bar. I have them in stock.

Not sure on the length. It's the stock length I used when I had a stock length 12 bolt under it.

Thanks for the info Madman. I did minitub the car, what you are saying makes sense. I'm running all your suspension parts except for the PHR.
