Another question - should I get bias-ply MT 26x4.5 for fronts, or just use cheap radial tires? For strip only (and to get to and from track)
I remember reading that MT fronts are a good bit heavier than some radial 165's

definately a good tire. i like my DS2 fronts. they are pretty light.

OK, just had to look at MT specs
MT Sportsman 26x7.5 (8-ply) are 19lbs
MT ET Fronts 26x4.5 - 12lbs
Kumho 165/80 according to ebay sellers - 16lbs

i picked up 3mph in the 1/8 alone...with just front runners...didnt notice a diff with rears but they also have bigger tires...
salad shooters before btw
