2002 camaro build up
cant wait to get back out there again!

I can't imagine that 6000 rpm is even in the power band yet either, probably need to be shifting it a bit higher then that yes, like another 1000 rpm LOL.
we will shift it at around 7800 its got a pretty large nitrous cam in it which is meant for atleast a 300shot so it wont run very well NA along with my tight *** converter...
we worked on my car friday night until 6am saturday morning making sure we'd race that afternoon... a 3 hour nap then back to get the car and race!
With how clean the rest of the car is, I'd have never thought
7800 Sounds good, and I know you were planning on spraying that thing hard, so if everything is set up for 300+ and you can get it sub 6.50 n/a you're in good shape IMO. That's starting off with bottom 10 second car with a setup meant for 300+ worth of nitrous you're on your way to bottom 8's without stressing too much.
Can't wait to see some video!
i'm gonna try and get everything done by friday night this week and take some time and vacuum it out and wash the filthy thing... my friends rag me about my dirty race car.... hahaah
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
what angle do you have your LCA's set at to get that car to sky like that? do you know what your corner weights are by chance?
track was *** and slick as glass....
weather was 45* and windy and cloudy...
60' 1.5739
330' 4.3550
594' 6.1098
660' 6.4960
mph 116.53
i'm slowly getting there.... i think on a decent track i should be right at a 1.40 60' the way it is.
we plan to change a couple of things and should be able to hit a 1.3x next time out and hopefully dip in the 5's....
the car was hauling *** after about 250' out (after i got pas all the bald spots and spills)
leaving the line with a total of 20* timing and ramping 8 degrees in over 1.75 seconds...
as low as the car is and as heavy as the nose is i think i'll end up with about 130lbs of ballast bolted in the bumper... for running these shitty tracks... and after the cars working well i'll start sneaking the weight out...
28 jet isn't alot of jet either not for a motor as big as you're running... hell I plan on hitting mine with a 30 as a 2nd stage when I get the car back out, leaving on the 150 plate unless I get the intake changed in that case, probably leave on a speedtech plate with a 150, or if 2 foggers make it into the budget I'll put a 24 or 26 in the first one.
As it is you have the power, just have to get the car working. Was it blowing the tires off right away or a little ways out? Have any video of that run? Be very helpful to get some from directly behind the car.
That MPH is good for a high 5 or 6.0 as stated above... What is your initial timing? Sounds like the timing is way too low. Why are you pulling out 8 and bringing it back in? If you are not having a problem launching the car just leave it in and you should pick it a lot.
