With my new setup (slicks, skinnies, 4.10 gears, LCA relocation brackets and subframes added) I shaved a consistent .05 off my 60 ft and was much more consistent off the line. It showed in my results.
After airing down the slicks from the first few runs, I hit a plateau.
I ran a 11.85@115.5mph, then a 11.85@115.4mph, then a 11.85@115.5mph, then a 11.85@115.6mph ALL BACK TO BACK! .....well you get the idea. All my 60ft times were low 1.7s. I couldn't get the car to hook well (probably due to stock shocks/springs and poor track prep as always in Arizona)
I was really happy considering the disgusting weather conditions. Temperature was 107 while I was racing, 57 degree dew pt, 29.70 barometer which all translated to a +5100ft density altitude
Well, I wanted to see how that stacked up against my previous best run by using the density altitude calculator to correct for elevation and bad weather.
My previous all time best run corrected to sea level for that days weather would have been about a 11.35@121.3mph (I actually ran a 11.69@117.6mph at a shade under 3000ft DA)
Saturday's best runs of 11.85@115.5mph @5100ft density altitude corrected to sea level would have been a 11.09@123.3mph
Looks like my new gears, slicks and skinnies will shave off about .25 and add about 2mph to my previous best times given equal weather conditions! This tells me I'm on the right track. Overall I'm very pleased with my results and still have another couple tenths to gain. I'm going to be putting the steel flywheel back in there and adding HAL shocks to the car as I can't seem to get the traction I want off the line. Hopefully this will let me cut 1.5x times at least, and I'll be able to shave another .3 or so off my ET if I can pull that off

Re: 11.85, 11.85, 11.85, 11.85
Damn, you race in this stuff
I loved my 410s - especially from stoplight to stoplight
Any pinging? I tried racing at 100 degrees+ a few times and had to run racegas due to knock...
Congrats.

No knock/pinging on my car on pump gas. I have it tuned very well with LS1 edit. Thankfully no issues.
My car did get pretty hot after about the 7th hotlap....me thinks an electric waterpump is in my future

cough cough.. i take back my post. I smell a 10sec TEA car NA
Where did you get the equation for correcting the time slip to sea level based on DA?
BTW great times man
BTW great times man
First you figure out your density altitude here:
http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_da.htm
Then you figure out what that time would have been at sea level conditions here:

verbs, come on out to our shootout on Oct 4th in Md HAHAHA should be quite a few TEA and AS cars running that day. Maybe we can settle this AS/TEA stuff then and there LMAO... all in good fun guys
I just hope the weather is decent by then. But hell, our summer weather is almost better than your winter air
