By the 4th pull the slick came apart by the side walls just the one side. the other side had 2 blisters on it. We where leting them cool down 30min befor pulls i will post a pic of it later

You weren't going to get acurate dyno numbers anyways. There can be a considerable difference found if you could compare a dyno sheet of your car on slicks and thenn on just your typical radials. I found this out through my own experiences, and 14 psi should be what is in your slicks when you are trying to get a killer 60' at the track, not the dyno...

Anyways, I hate to hear it but look at it this way, if it would have done that at the track you would be out a car!

it happened to me. tire pressure was 12 psi (what i ran at the track) and didnt think to put more air in before the dyno session. also had a very small cut in the sidewall from the tire slightly rubbing the quarter. im sure both of these things played a roll on the tire blowing out. the car was all over the dyno when the tire let go. SCARY ****!!!!

We have never seen any issues, but we always run 20-25 psi. There is no reason to run low psi on the dyno and all it will do is give lower readings and not be as stable.

I bet at that low of psi the rim was damn near close to touch down on the rollers.

ya you ned to get some air in them, remeber ther car is strapped down. When the grown with rpm, and somthing has to move. The sidwalls get worked, and a lot of heat put into them from the fricton, they come apart. They started rubbing the quaters on the dyno, and not the track same resone. If you watch the pull, the sidewalls can get a "wave" in them, @ 4/8 oclock' . From them needing room to grow, and the smaller (dyno roller) contact patch (not flat) messing them up to. Its deffenatly scary looking

I was told to run slicks at around 25psi on the dyno. Guy who told me builds dyno trailers, so i listened and never had any issues.

check air pressure before dyno time is something i think gets overlooked by the car owner . hope there was no damge to the dyno by the rim .
