Exhausted At the present, I'm running Jethot longtubes-true duals consisting of a pair of 3" dynomax mufflers(bullet) dumped after the collectors. Now my question....
Will I lose power going back to say, a 3" y pipe to a single 3" dynomax muffler(bullet) then dumped before the axle? I'm trying to quiet it down from the duals. Anyone have this similar set up? Recommendations appreciated.

Depends on the power level of the motor, and how much you spray it. You can always run a dual 3" to a single 3.5" or 4" y-pipe then use one of the longer bullet mufflers, the longer the bullet the more it will quiet it.
Or if you have room you can use the existing dual bullets and add the y-pipe after them into a single 3.5" or 4" and the further back you run the pipe the quieter it will seem, you're getting a lot of noise and vibration because it is right under your seat now.

I'm running a 3" Y with a flowmaster 3" to 4" merge and then a Magnaflow muffler dumped. Its alot quieter then my old duals with flowmaster single chambers. I didnt lose any power when i switched. I think the key to this kind of setup is using a good quality merge collector.
